Responsibilities Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; covers all assigned routes within the station's service area; provides related customer service functions; performs other duties as assigned. Hours M‑S, shift variable 6 AM–7 PM, day off TBD. Minimum Education High school diploma/GED. Minimum Experience Six (6) months courier experience preferred; must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. At least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic officials and respond to official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA guidance. Job Conditions Neat appearance required as customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the vehicle type and have a good driving record. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Pay $25.88 – $37.23 per hour. Benefits Health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
