Senior Engagement Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Engagement Manager based in United States.

The Senior Engagement Manager will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to enterprise clients, guiding complex technology engagements from planning through successful delivery.
This role combines senior-level project leadership, customer relationship management, commercial awareness, and technology consulting.
You will oversee strategic implementations, ensuring projects remain aligned with scope, quality, timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Working across Sales, Services, Support, partners, and clients, you will identify opportunities to strengthen relationships and expand future business.
The position offers exposure to complex software transformation initiatives across varied industries and customer environments.
You will also contribute to team development through mentoring, onboarding, staffing support, and knowledge sharing.
Success requires strong analytical judgment, executive communication, adaptability, and the ability to turn complex challenges into clear, actionable plans.

Accountabilities:

• Manage the economics, coordination, and customer relationships associated with multiple strategic accounts and engagements, ensuring successful delivery and creating opportunities for future growth.
• Lead the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure for individual projects or multiple concurrent strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules while balancing scope, quality, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
• Communicate project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and changes clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, documenting scope changes and their impact on schedules and budgets.
• Apply established engagement methodologies and serve as a focal point for partner-led projects, maintaining effective relationships with third-party partners and vendors.
• Build strong relationships with practice leaders, regional sales leaders, clients, and other stakeholders to support consulting engagements and software license opportunities.
• Contribute to sales pipeline development through seminars, webinars, customer events, and other business development activities.
• Support implementation workstreams by overseeing project budgets, reviewing deliverables for quality, and contributing to improvements in project management processes and tools.
• Help maintain effective project staffing levels by identifying resource requirements, supporting recruitment activities, onboarding new employees, and mentoring team members.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for relevant engagement and delivery methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement across consulting operations.
• Participate in client reference discussions and support prospects by sharing relevant experience from previous engagements.
• Adapt quickly to changing client requirements, project conditions, and organizational priorities while maintaining delivery quality and customer confidence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• 12-15 years of relevant professional experience, including implementation of complex software solutions.
• At least 8 years of project management experience or an equivalent level of technology project leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex technology implementations involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, budgets, and delivery constraints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or comparable project management and scheduling tools.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, planning, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical or business concepts clearly to varied audiences.
• Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, partners, sales teams, and delivery organizations.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to support the development and onboarding of junior team members.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within collaborative, cross-functional environments.
• Comfortable embracing change, navigating ambiguity, and adapting quickly to new situations.
• Experience with enterprise performance management or financial technology solutions such as OneStream, SAP BPC, SAP BOFC, Hyperion, FDM, IBM Cognos, or comparable EPM platforms is advantageous.
• A master's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• PMP certification or a comparable professional project management qualification is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly, primarily domestically with occasional international travel, at approximately 80-100%.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment sponsorship.

• Gross annual base salary of $114,000-$148,000 , with total compensation determined based on experience, skills, location, and other objective job-related factors.
