Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a high school environment! This contracted position is perfect for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Special Education Aide/Paraprofessional passionate about making a daily impact. You'll work closely with a student who uses a motorized wheelchair, providing individualized physical care—including assistance with mobility and toileting.
Starting September 1st, this full-time role offers steady hours and the chance to develop specialized skills in a nurturing, educational setting near De Pere, just outside Green Bay.
Desired Background & Skills:
- Experience as a CNA, Special Education Aide/Paraprofessional, or Public Health Aide
- Competence and sensitivity supporting students with physical and personal care needs
- Comfort assisting with mobility devices and providing toileting support
- Willingness to obtain DPI certification upon offer (we’ll help you through the process!)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Positive, patient attitude and a genuine desire to support students’ success
Core Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with a high school student requiring physical care—including wheelchair transfers, toileting, and daily comfort
- Facilitate student participation in school routines and activities
- Monitor and communicate health and wellbeing changes to the educational team
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to provide consistent support
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and safety at all times
