One of the largest residential apartment communities in Southwest Houston is seeking a dependable, observant, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Security Officer . In this role, you will maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and guests through active foot patrols, visitor logging, and clear daily communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access Control & Visitor Logging: Greet residents and visitors, verify credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs at access points.
- Property Patrols: Perform routine, thorough foot patrols across property grounds, parking areas, and common amenities to deter unauthorized activity.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed shift logs and draft clear, professional incident reports or daily correspondence.
- Resident Assistance & Service: Serve as a visible, reassuring presence, answering basic resident inquiries and enforcing community guidelines professionally.
- Emergency Response: Report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or security violations promptly to management or local law enforcement when necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and remain outdoors for extended periods during shift.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail for log reporting.
- Work History: Demonstrated stable employment history and a strong team-first attitude.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Identification: Valid Driver’s License or State-Issued Photo ID Card.
- Background Verification: Must successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check (criminal background, drug screen, and employment verification).
Preferred Qualifications
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in residential security, courtesy patrol, or customer service.
