Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

$1591.20/week - Job Summary: Seeking a qualified MT or MLT for a 13-week assignment at a critical access hospital. The role involves performing clinical laboratory testing and supporting microbiology, blood bank, and microbiology procedures. Responsibilities: Conduct microbiology tests, gram stains, blood culture planting, and blood bank procedures. Perform phlebotomy and blood sampling accurately and efficiently. Rotate shifts, including nights and weekends, and cover vacancies as needed. Adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols, including PPE and isolation procedures. Prioritize and multitask laboratory tasks while working independently. Communicate effectively with team members and document test results appropriately. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited program in medical technology or clinical laboratory science. Proficient in microbiology, blood bank testing, and phlebotomy. Ability to perform blood cultures, gram stains, and culture plating. Knowledge of Covid protocols, PPE, and infection control practices. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with excellent communication abilities. Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
