Job Summary:

AbelZeta is actively seeking a talent Scientist I to enrich our Immuno-Oncology Research team located in Rockville, MD. This role entails the discovery and advancement of groundbreaking T-cell therapies targeting a diverse spectrum of cancers and autoimmune diseases

As an integral member of our thriving R&D division, the successful candidate will work under the guidance of seasoned team leaders and senior scientific personnel at AbelZeta. Leveraging their profound expertise in molecular and cell biology, alongside understanding of oncology and immunology, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in driving the development of pioneering cell therapy solutions.

Responsibilities encompass the design and execution of laboratory experiments, the formulation of methodologies, and the meticulous analysis and interpretation of scientific findings within a highly synergistic environment. Additionally, the candidate will uphold the crucial duty of diligently documenting and presenting research outcomes, thereby contributing to the overarching mission of AbelZeta in advancing novel therapeutic modalities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Conduct primary immune cell and tumor cell line culturing, T cell immune functional assays, antibody functional analysis and other in vitro experiments.

· Contribute to experimental planning and design, independent data analysis and result interpretation.

· Ensure thorough and precise documentation for all experimental procedures.

· Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the efficient relay of information and forward translation of data.

· Assess and report data, with minimal guidance, in a clear and concise manner, with a clear understanding of its implications.

· Provide technical instructions to the team and share information between distinct projects as needed.

· Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· BS in a relevant discipline + minimum 2 years of experience or MS in a relevant discipline.

· Background training and knowledge of molecular and cell biology, immunology, or immuno-oncology.

· Strong laboratory and analytical skills; evidence of effective problem-solving / troubleshooting abilities.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; able to document work clearly, concisely, and understand and describe its importance to others.

· Good organizational and planning skills; ability to manage a portfolio of work, prioritize, and deliver quality results while meeting deadlines.

· Good interpersonal skills – able to work effectively with colleagues/collaborators from diverse backgrounds, levels of seniority, and territories.

· Experience in T cell immunotherapy and flow cytometry is a plus.
