Overview-

Under the direction of the Employment Services Supervisor, the  Employment Coach–Level Up Employment Program provides employment and career development services to young adults , and adults helping participants identify career goals, overcome barriers to employment, and successfully obtain and retain employment.

Providing individualized case management, career coaching, job readiness support, job matching, referrals, and connections to education, training, employers, and community resources. This position works collaboratively with GMUL education and employment staff, employers, training providers, and community partners to support each young adult's pathway toward long-term employment and career success.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individualized case management and career coaching to young adults and adults enrolled in the TMJ, Level Up Program .
• Assess employment barriers, career interests, educational needs, skills, and employment readiness.
• Develop individualized Employment/Employability Plans with measurable goals and timelines.
• Assist participants with job readiness, job searches, applications, resumes, interviewing, and job placement.
• Match participants' skills, education, training, and interests with appropriate employment opportunities.
• Connect participants to education, occupational training, supportive services, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate participant case files, progress notes, employment information, supportive services, and other required documentation in designated systems.
• Work collaboratively with GMUL education and employment staff to coordinate participant services and outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with young adults to encourage engagement, accountability, career development, and long-term job retention.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and community-based organizations.
• Collect and maintain employment verification and other required program documentation.
• Conduct follow-up and retention activities with participants and employers after placement.
• Assist with career fairs, job fairs, resource fairs, workshops, and other employment-related activities.
• Stay informed about local employment trends, employer needs, wages, training opportunities, and career pathways.
• Attend meetings, trainings, conferences, and workshops as assigned.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Services, Social Work, Social Science, Criminal Justice, Workforce Development , or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in case management, workforce development, job development, career coaching, or job placement.
• Experience working with young adults and individuals facing barriers to employment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of workforce development programs, employment resources, career pathways, and training opportunities.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case management/database systems.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
• Nonprofit or community-based organization experience preferred.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license, reliable transportation, and appropriate automobile insurance required.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally work flexible hours as program needs require.
