The Senior Affordability Data Analyst plays a key role in advancing Affordability objectives by transforming raw data into actionable insights. This position focuses on extracting structured data, conducting foundational statistical analysis, and identifying key cost drivers using RTX data repositories. The Senior Affordability Data Analyst ensures high‑quality analytical outcomes by preparing clean datasets, developing initial cost assessments, and supporting Affordability Modelers in RLPM‑aligned analysis. This role delivers consistent, day‑to‑day analytical contributions that strengthen decision‑making across the work area.This is an onsite role located in McKinney, TX.What You Will DoExtract and prepare engineering, production, supplier, and sustainment data from RTX repositories for affordability use.Develop preliminary cost‑driver lists and basic statistical summaries (correlation checks, variance review, simple distribution views).Identify and document fixed vs variable cost indicators based on guided criteria.Create basic charts or visualizations that support affordability tasks.Maintain traceability through consistent dataset documentation and adherence to required data‑handling procedures.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.Experience performing data analytics in a professional environment.Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or Excel.Experience with cost modeling, supporting cost data collection, cost element analysis, and/or preliminary cost estimating.Qualifications We PreferA Data Analytics Degree.Active and transferable Secret clearance.Work experience in regulated industries, such as aerospace, defense, or other environments with formal compliance requirements.Experience working with engineering analysis.What We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
