Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job

Overview Registered Nurse - Oncology travel assignment in Geneva, NY. This temporary, travel position starts on 08/17/2026 for an estimated 22-26 weeks in a short-term acute care setting. Shifts are 2x12-hour rotating days/nights. Weekly pay ranges from $1,318 to $1,375 per week with no guaranteed hours. This assignment includes on-call duties and holiday coverage. Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adults, adolescents, and geriatrics with oncology-related medical conditions
• Assess patient and family needs; develop and adjust an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; monitor progress
• Administer medications and therapies; monitor for adverse effects; maintain safe medication administration practices
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plan, self-care, and discharge planning; provide written and verbal instruction
• Document education, patient response, and care activities; participate in quality improvement activities and infection prevention strategies
• Foster a healing environment through compassionate communication, professional nursing judgment, and evidence-based practice; collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, effective care

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI), NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience
• Ability to work in a high-acuity Med/Surg setting with rotating 2x12-hour shifts, including holidays
• Eligibility to work in the United States
