SQL DBA

As a SQL Database Administrator, this person will be working closing with application teams for implementing project specific tasks, maintain existing databases and perform daily/weekly/monthly/yearly tasks. Will involve in DR activities.

Duties:
• Project Development Support
• Tuning, Monitoring and Patching
• Inter/Intra Organizational Communication
• Backup and Recovery
• Security and Compliance of the SQL Server database environment

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems (IS), Computer Science, software engineering, information technology and/or equivalent industry experience.

Position Requirements:
• 5-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator experience
• 2-4 years of experience in working large scale projects.
• Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platforms.
• 1-2 years of experience in SOX related requests.
• Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server database administration, architecture/design, data analysis and management
• Strong technical knowledge of current SQL Server database systems and versions, including other Windows based tools, utilities and active directory.
• Extensive application support experience working with application teams.
• High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
• Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Good understanding of Project Management skills.
• Automotive industry IT knowledge is preferred.
