The Millwright Level 2 will perform preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery, conveyors, and mechanical systems associated with forestry product manufacturing. Travel Required Yes (minimal for training classes) Responsibilities Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including conveying systems and major machine centers such as debarkers, canters, gang saws, and edgers. Read and understand drawings and printed instructions. Work safely under high‑pressure situations as a self‑starter. Understand line ups of pumps, sheaves, sprockets, and machine centers. Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Adjust tension on nuts and bolts or position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts. Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb tools. Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools. Lay out mounting holes with measuring instruments and drill holes with a power drill. Replace defective parts or adjust clearances and align moving parts. Level bed‑plate and establish a centre line using straightedge, levels, and transit. Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools. Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly units using hand tools and power tools. Required Skills and Experience Five years of Millwright experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment or an associate’s degree in industrial maintenance. Cutting torch experience (Oxygen/Acetylene). Welding experience (GMAW and SMAW). Safety oriented and compliant with Zone Emergency Safety (ZES). Willingness to work overtime and to be on‑call to support operations. Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
