Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: Compact or state license in hand upon submission Certifications: CRCST, CSPDT, or CFER accepted; OR Cert in Surgical Technology with successful completion of internal sterile processing training course within the first six months of hire Must-Have: COVID-19 Vaccine Required; Flu Vaccine Required Description: Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following. Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract for this position, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above. Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require coverage. Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios and charting systems is preferred. Candidates must have experience in sterile processing. Floating is not expected; first-timers are welcome. Less than 2 years of experience is not acceptable. References are not required for submission; however, 2 manager or supervisor references will be required to obtain clearance to start the contract. Please ensure that all certifications are current and available. Resources who worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the organization for 1 full year before they can return as travel staff. Modules are billable and completed during orientation. Modules will be recorded via the facility.
