Account Clerk III

We are seeking detail-oriented Account Clerk III professionals to support a high-volume financial operations team responsible for reviewing and processing financial claims. This position is ideal for candidates with recent accounting experience who enjoy investigative research, working with financial records, and providing excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent attention to detail, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Training Requirements: Selected candidates must be able to travel to downtown Columbus, OH and/or Reynoldsburg, OH for training and work week. Parking at Columbus location is not provided. Free on-site parking is available at Reynoldsburg, OH location.

What You'll Do

• Review, examine, verify, and process financial claims
• Research and collect supporting documentation to validate claim eligibility
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures
• Analyze reports, applications, and financial documents for completeness and accuracy
• Investigate complex claims through detailed research and documentation
• Serve as a primary point of contact for claimants and reporting agencies
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers to resolve questions and obtain additional information
• Maintain accurate records while meeting quality and productivity standards

Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Recent accounting experience (minimum of 2 years)
• OR undergraduate coursework in Accounting
• OR undergraduate coursework in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of Accounting coursework
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Skills

• Recent accounting or financial processing experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
