Technical Support Engineer

Salary: $110,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We bring 5+ years of experience in the information technology field.
• We have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux platforms, including troubleshooting connectivity issues at both the application and server operating system levels.
• We have 3+ years of experience with virtual infrastructure technologies, especially VMware.
• We have experience administering Active Directory, including replication services, group policies, and folder redirection.
• We have experience supporting Microsoft products such as SharePoint, Office 365, and SCCM.
• We have experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, along with strong TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting knowledge.
• We have 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL and Microsoft IIS services.
• We have scripting experience with Python, PHP, or PowerShell.
• We have experience with MySQL, Apache, and ColdFusion.
• We understand backup and patching fundamentals.
• We have excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• We deliver strong customer service and communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• We are comfortable leading project planning through implementation.
• We can create documentation, procedures, and guidelines with strong attention to detail.
• We can manage multiple priorities and adapt to flexible schedules when needed.
• We work well as self-starters in a collaborative, dynamic environment and build credibility quickly across teams.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Ansible experience is a plus.

• We troubleshoot and resolve issues across virtual platforms and infrastructure, including vCenter and vCloud.
• We perform maintenance within the VMware environment.
• We assist with configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls, with Palo Alto Networks and Panorama experience as an advantage.
• We help create, review, and fine-tune firewall security policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and threat-prevention settings.
• We manage and operate Microsoft Windows server systems and related technologies, including clustering, DHCP, DNS, WINS, and DFS.
• We investigate network problems involving routing, firewalls, and load balancers.
• We help define and maintain team standards, policies, and procedures.
• We configure and administer Microsoft Active Directory and support interoperability with diverse directory structures and security models in enterprise settings.
• We troubleshoot web services, particularly IIS, Apache, and ColdFusion.
• We provide technical support to our customers for the administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.
• We assist with deploying and maintaining a variety of client systems, including Windows and Linux platforms.
• We deliver proactive monitoring for production environments, including performance issues, hardware failures, alert conditions, and other operational risks.
• We support the Director of Managed Services in ensuring project work is completed on time and within scope.
• We identify and implement improvements to streamline daily processes and procedures.
• We participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when needed.
• We may perform additional duties as assigned by management.
