Location: Morrisville, NC (NC147)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with every 4th weekend rotation
Interview Process: One round, in-person interview
Dress Code: Professional casual attire; scrubs preferred

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting long-term care (LTC) pharmacy operations by accurately preparing and processing prescription orders for LTC facilities. This position ensures medications are dispensed efficiently, inventory is maintained appropriately, and all regulatory requirements are followed while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and selecting the appropriate medications from inventory.
• Apply labels to medication packaging, scan prescriptions, and accurately assemble orders into designated bins in a timely manner.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate medication supplies are available to fulfill all prescription orders.
• Assist with inventory management, including removing expired or unused medications, marking used bottles, and maintaining organized inventory storage.
• Consistently meet established pharmacy accuracy, quality, and productivity standards.
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workstation.
• Restock medications and replenish supplies as needed to support daily operations.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and company policies related to the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or NHA.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience, preferably in a long-term care, retail, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy setting.
• National certification through PTCB or NHA.
• Experience working with pharmacy inventory management and prescription fulfillment processes.
