Put your welding and fitting skills to work with Steadfast Employment! We’re seeking experienced welders/fitters who take pride in quality craftsmanship and work well with a team. Pay will depend on experience and the assignment.

What You’ll Do

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete welding and fitting tasks.
  • Measure, mark, cut, fit, and assemble metal parts and structures.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, stick, or flux-core welding as required by the assignment.
  • Align and secure components using clamps, fixtures, and tack welds.
  • Operate grinders, torches, welding machines, and fabrication tools safely.
  • Inspect welds and assemblies for accuracy and quality.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous welding and fitting experience in a fabrication shop, industrial, construction, or shipyard setting.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with one or more welding processes.
  • Knowledge of metal preparation, fit-up, and fabrication techniques.
  • Dependability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned work location.
  • Ability to pass a weld or fitting test if required.
