1st Class Structural Welder

Location: Houma, LA
Schedule: Full-Time | Day & Night Shifts
Environment: Shipyard

Summary

Seeking experienced 1st Class Structural Welders for full-time positions in a shipyard environment. Candidates must have strong structural welding skills and be able to pass a hands-on weld test.

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of structural welding experience

  • Experience with FCAW (Flux Core) and SMAW (Stick)

  • Shipyard, marine, or heavy industrial experience

  • Ability to weld carbon steel in multiple positions

  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols

  • Must pass a hands-on weld test

  • Reliable transportation and attendance

Preferred

  • Previous shipyard welding experience

  • Marine vessel construction or repair experience

  • Experience with structural fabrication and fitting

  • Rigging or material handling experience
