Job Summary
The EEG Technologist Registered position is based in an outpatient and inpatient neurology setting. The role involves performing electroencephalogram (EEG) tests, including electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, and head wrapping for continuous EEG monitoring. The position requires working night shifts, with a schedule that includes weekend rotations and no on-call responsibilities. The role may involve floating to the intensive care unit for testing. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with at least two years of experience in neonatal or general EEG testing and certifications in BLS and EEG technology.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in EEG technology, BLS certification, minimum 2 years of neonatal or general EEG experience, ability to perform electrode placement, patient prepping, recording, pattern recognition, and head wrapping for continuous EEG, experience with Nihon Kohden software, and flexibility to float to ICU
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system and neonatal EEG experience
• Float: Float to ICU to perform EEG tests, no other float requirements
• Additional Information:
  • Working in a facility with outpatient and inpatient beds, including working with diverse patient populations from neonates to geriatric patients
  • Performing EEGs for patients with seizures, strokes, trauma, and other neurological conditions
  • Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue
