Responsibilities Job Summary As a Joe V's Produce / Bakery Lead, you'll ensure accurate, efficient day-to-day operations and a constant workflow, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, resolve issues as they arise, work across departments and functions as needed, and foster great customer service. You'll also support the Manager by effectively managing inventory, assisting with ordering product and supplies, and planning production to drive metrics. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions Store Lead Operations Applies experience and knowledge to support the Store and Department in Manager's absence Leads a team in efficient day-to-day operations and a constant workflow Delegates / directs work; assists with setting department-related expectations (e.g., ORT, wrap, safety, sanitation, 5s); motivates Partners; may coach and/or provide feedback; may help with department work schedules Ensures compliance with company, Store, and department policies and procedures Applies experience and knowledge to assist with production planning and inventory control and management; takes inventory; orders appropriate product in reaction to inventory; loads, unloads, and moves products Assists in all technical areas, as needed Handles Customer, Partner, and sanitation issues according to guidelines; escalating to management as needed Troubleshoots / reports equipment issues Ensures adequate levels of product and supplies for day-to-day operations (e.g., cash handling / Business Center forms, supplies) Performs Department and cross-functional duties as needed Compliance / Food Safety / Sanitation Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and Store and department standard operating procedures Cleans / sanitizes department and work areas, sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment Customer Service Role models / fosters excellent customer service Answers product- and service-related questions; answers calls, directs questions to appropriate department or Partner Engages with customers; directs customer traffic as needed Stocks / merchandises products effectively to engage customers The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
