About the Role

The Company is in search of a visionary Executive Director to lead its newly formed nonprofit organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of organizational leadership, including strategic planning, financial management, governance, fundraising, program development, and community engagement. This role is pivotal in establishing the organization as a premier destination for arts residency and research, with a focus on strengthening the local arts ecosystem, creating networks between creatives, and fostering a vibrant cultural economy. The Executive Director will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with key partners in the arts community, both locally and nationally, and will serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have at least 5 years of nonprofit leadership experience, or relevant experience in arts and culture organizations, and a proven track record in fundraising. Strong financial management, budgeting skills, and experience in program development and implementation are essential. The role requires excellent communication, the ability to build relationships, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for supporting artists, and the ability to work collaboratively in a startup environment.
