Chief Financial OfficerPittsburgh, PA (On-site)Lead the financial strategy of a mission-driven education nonprofit.We’re looking for an experienced finance executive to serve as Chief Financial Officer for an education-focused nonprofit organization in Pittsburgh. This is a chance to sit at the leadership table, partner directly with the CEO/Superintendent and executive team, and shape the financial future of an organization serving schools and the community it operates in.What You’ll DoAs CFO, you’ll own financial strategy, planning and analysis, reporting, audits, compliance, and banking relationships across the organization. You’ll build forward-looking financial models and analyses that give leadership real insight into operations and strategy, and you’ll be the steward of systems that protect assets and keep financial reporting accurate.You’ll be a visible, trusted partner across the Board, CEO, Foundation, and Schools, representing the organization to banks, investors, auditors, and public officials. Working closely with the finance committee, you’ll build short, medium, and long-term financial plans, oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and lead the accounting team through the Controller.You’ll also lead budgeting and forecasting, manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships, and take point on identifying and maximizing revenue, including local, state, and federal funding sources. You’ll ensure the organization’s reporting to funders is timely and accurate, and you’ll coordinate audits and tax filings.What You BringBachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or a related field5+ years of experience in a CFO role or equivalent (10+ years preferred)Strong background in nonprofit accounting, including fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reportingExperience in senior leadership, partnering with executives on financial strategyA track record of ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulationsNice to have: MBA or equivalent, CPA, and experience with a $75M+ budget in an education or nonprofit settingWhat We Offer$120,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience403(b) with employer contribution and matchFlexible paid leaveTuition and professional development supportA full benefits packageInterested?
