Manufacturing EngineerEmerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a goal-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join the Medford, OR Team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our PCBA &/or electromechanical assembly operations run at peak performance. You'll own the technical processes that drive world-class quality, high efficiency, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing floor. Come and work in a supportive, fun team atmosphere where the work is meaningful, and careers have no limits!Responsibilities:Develop, document, and maintain precise and detailed manufacturing process instructions (MPIs) of electromechanical assembliesTroubleshoot process defects and drive toward problem resolution.Attend quality meetings and drive quality issues for improved yields.Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing processesIdentify and apply cost-saving ideas along with implementing manufacturing techniques and improvement initiatives to drive up production efficiencies.Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and/or existing product lines.Work with new and existing customers on DFM/DFA on electromechanical assemblies and the release of products to the factoryAssist in the quoting process by understanding and documenting the steps, time elements, and tooling required to assemble productsChampion 5S and lean principles within a cellular manufacturing environmentQualifications:Strong working knowledge of PCBA and mechanical assembly processes, including reading drawings and using specialized equipment.Skilled in maintaining accurate documentation and following detailed technical instructions.Self-driven, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.5+ years of experience in printed circuit assembly and mechanical assemblies; EMS/contract manufacturing preferred.Effective communicator and problem-solver with solid organizational abilities.Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.Proficient in Microsoft OfficeEmerald Technologies is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), focusing on high-reliability electronic assemblies.
