Registered Nurse - CVICU

Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Nurse

Provide advanced critical nursing care to pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart conditions in a specialized Intensive Care Unit. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support complex cardiac patients and their families during their recovery journey.

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal and pediatric cardiac patients in a high-acuity PICU setting.

Administer medications, including inotropes and vasopressors, and manage chest tubes and IV therapy.

Monitor patient status using Phillips monitors and operate specialized equipment such as Medfusion and Baxter pumps.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

Educate and support families through their child's congenital heart treatment process.

Document clinical interventions and patient responses accurately in the Meditech EMR system.

Must have at least 2 years of pediatric cardiac critical care experience.

Hold current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Demonstrate proficiency in post-operative care, including inotropic, vasopressor infusions, and chest tube management.

Possess bedside ECMO experience preferred.

Exhibit flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
