Robotics Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Robot Service Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of a fleet of next-generation humanoid robots. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining robotic systems while ensuring maximum uptime and performance across the robot fleet.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electro-mechanical systems and enjoys working directly with complex equipment. This is not a bench technician role - you will be actively supporting cutting-edge robotics in a fast-paced lab environment where innovation, attention to detail, and problem-solving are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair robotic systems and associated hardware.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal robot performance and system reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis and debugging of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical failures.
• Monitor robot fleet health and proactively identify potential issues to minimize downtime.
• Manage and maintain spare parts inventory and support equipment.
• Track, document, and report daily fleet status, maintenance activities, repairs, and performance metrics.
• Accurately record system issues, corrective actions, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including:

• Work instructions
• Troubleshooting guides
• User manuals
• Knowledge base articles
• FAQs
• Training materials
• Preventative maintenance procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other team members to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
• Follow established safety procedures, technical processes, and work instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Mountain View, CA.
• Hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience performing root cause analysis, diagnostics, debugging, and hardware repairs.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical work instructions and procedures.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Compensation:

$28/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
