Under general supervision, the Lead Physical Therapist develops, supervises, and provides optimal patient care services as referred by physician for Physical Therapy, based on population-specific needs utilizing a developmental and patient/family directed approach. This role provides daily operational supervision to assigned staff; Physical Therapists, Volunteers, Therapy Technicians, and Physical Therapy Assistants. The position functions as a mentor and expert in a specific clinical area and possesses advanced clinical skills. The Lead Therapist provides clinical education experiences for physical therapy students as assigned and may work in both outpatient and inpatient services across all units throughout the hospital based on assigned caseload. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Experience: 2+ years of substantive experience. Considerable knowledge of entry‑level evaluation and therapeutic interventions in physical therapy. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a busy clinic environment. Licenses/Certificates: South Carolina Physical Therapy license and current BLS certification.
