Maintains a clean, organized kitchen and supports the culinary team to deliver a positive dining experience for residents. Qualifications Must be able to read,writeand carry out directions in English Experience infood preparation and professional cooking (healthcare/senior living preferred) ServSafecertification (or ability to obtain, certification cost covered by the company) Knowledge of dietary needs, especially in geriatric populations Strong organization and time management Minimum of 18 years of age Must be able to pass the state mandated criminal background screening andpre-employment drug screening for illegal substances Essential Functions Prepare meals according to menu, policies, and dietary requirements Ensuremeals are served on time and at proper temperatures Offersubstitutions when needed to meet resident preferences Monitorplate returnsand resident intakeand communicate trends or concerns to their supervisor Completerequired documentation (temps, food logs, etc.) Ensureproper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices Minimizewaste and properlyutilizefood and supplies Superviseand support kitchen staff during shift Assistwith cleaning andmaintainingthe kitchen and dining areas Reportequipment or facility issues promptly Physical and Mental Requirements Ability tolift upto 50 pounds.
