This opportunity is with a government contractor dedicated to helping our nation's Veterans by providing medical examinations and assessments. The organization specializes in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans across the country.

Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans • Provider must have their own office location • Ithaca, NY position requires 1 day per week • Trumansburg, NY position requires 3 days per week • PRN basis, ongoing opportunity • Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) • One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) • No prescribing or treatment required • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Acceptable specialties include: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • AANP certification required • Must maintain active and unrestricted full license in New York • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Not eligible if actively employed at the VA or on active military duty • Administrative follow-up work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • Local candidates only, travel included in rates

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.

Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
