The Division of Pulmonary, Asthma and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine/Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is recruiting two Clinician Educators as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. We are particularly interested in candidates who have additional experience in lung transplant and/or training in sleep medicine. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful candidate will possess expertise in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Engaging in research activities, across the full range of Stanford University, is highly encouraged. Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows will be an important component of the position. This position will be located primarily at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. The successful candidate may also provide inpatient clinical care at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. The clinical teams serve a diverse patient population, with a broad range of pulmonary conditions. The successful candidate will participate in the didactics of medical students, residents and fellows. Contributing to research, quality improvement and program development is strongly encouraged. This position is part of the larger, cohesive group of Pediatric Pulmonologists at Stanford University and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. Requirements An MD/DO degree and Board Certification in Pediatrics, and either Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and a California Medical License by the time of hire. Candidates with Board eligibility or certification in Lung Transplant or Sleep Medicine as well as Pulmonary Medicine will receive strong consideration. It is expected that candidates are outstanding clinicians with dedication to teaching and mentoring trainees. Pay and Benefits Clinical Assistant Professor: $231,000 - $245,000 Clinical Associate Professor: $267,000 - $279,000 Clinical Professor: $322,000 - $352,000 This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
