Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts (Days/Nights, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced 40-bed inpatient Post Surgical Care Unit following PACU recovery
• Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients on day/evening shifts and up to 5–7 patients on night shifts, prioritizing care based on acuity
• Perform accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR, including medication scanning via Rovers and IV management with Alaris pumps
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to support an average of 10–15 admissions per day with a unit occupancy of 90–95% on weekdays
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Adhere to all facility infection control and health compliance policies, including masking requirements during flu season when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps and Rover medication scanning devices
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize patient care needs in a high-volume surgical environment
• Experience caring for joint replacement or other complex post-surgical patient populations
