Engineer II, R&D

Edwards Lifesciences seeks an Engineer II for its Implant R&D team to advance transcatheter heart valve product development. The role involves test planning, design verification, hemodynamic performance evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to support commercial portfolio initiatives and indication expansions.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute test plans for transcatheter heart valve performance evaluation under clinically relevant conditions
- Author design verification plans, protocols, and technical reports supporting regulatory submissions
- Develop test fixtures and methods to evaluate hemodynamic performance, durability, and device-anatomy interactions
- Generate engineering drawings, work instructions, and process specifications with cross-functional input
- Apply statistical techniques to design robust test strategies and interpret empirical data with appropriate confidence levels
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 2 years experience
- Or Master's degree in Engineering or Scientific field with thesis, internship, or senior project
- Test method development, fixture design, and in-lab test execution experience
- Strong statistical analysis and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Minitab, and SolidWorks
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO, FDA) and design control processes
- Experience in cardiovascular implantable devices or regulated industry preferred
