HVAC Technician

HVAC TechnicianA local company in the Corning, NY area is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systemsDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issuesInstall HVAC equipment, ductwork, and related componentsTest airflow, refrigerant levels, and electrical systemsReplace defective parts including motors, compressors, and valvesRespond to service calls and emergency repairs as neededExplain repair recommendations and maintenance needs to customersMaintain accurate service records and job documentationFollow all safety procedures and industry standardsRequirements:Previous HVAC experience requiredEPA Certification preferred or ability to obtainStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical schematics, and mechanical systemsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issuesStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable working in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in various weather conditionsAbility to lift and move heavy equipment and materialsEqual Opportunity Employer StatementExpress Employment Professionals is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
