About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Membership & Communications to play a pivotal role in the organization's strategic plan. This senior leadership position is focused on redefining and enhancing the membership and communications functions, with a key emphasis on growing and retaining membership, and fostering strong relationships within the physician community. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full membership lifecycle, leading engagement strategies for various physician audiences, and managing the organization's program and event portfolio. Additionally, the role involves directing member communications and marketing strategies, supervising a small team, and working closely with the Executive Director and affiliated medical society on membership and physician engagement. Applicants for the Vice President, Membership & Communications role at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in relevant fields such as membership, physician relations, communications, association management, healthcare engagement, or nonprofit leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in staff supervision, budget management, and a strong skill set that includes relationship-building, writing, project management, and organizational abilities. Comfort with data and AI tools is essential for this position. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and familiarity with the local healthcare community or a CAE credential is a plus. The role demands a strategic thinker who can turn ideas into action and is dedicated to expanding the organization's reach and relevance within the physician community.
