In addition to experience in fine dining service and operational management skills, this individual must have experience in restaurant financial controls, labor management, and service standards. We are seeking an Assistant General Manager who brings professionalism, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. This position reports directly to the General Manager and Director of Operations and works closely with both front- and back-of-house leadership teams.

Description

The Assistant General Manager will work in collaboration with the General Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations for the 3-level restaurant, This position will continually strive to improve guest satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service, maintaining consistency, and leading the front-of-house team to uphold the highest standards.

The AGM will act as Manager on Duty (MOD), ensuring smooth service flow, supporting staff, and responding to guest needs in real time. In addition, the AGM will work cross-functionally with the culinary and beverage teams to ensure alignment in service execution, communication, and overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee daily front-of-house operations with a focus on service excellence and guest satisfaction· Act as Manager on Duty (MOD), leading service and supporting staff throughout shifts· Support the General Manager in managing labor cost, scheduling, and operational expenditures· Lead staff recruitment, hiring, training, and ongoing development· Maintain service quality, consistency, and adherence to brand standards· Manage reservations, dining room flow, and seating strategy to optimize service· Respond to and resolve guest feedback and concerns promptly and professionally· Coordinate with culinary and beverage teams to ensure seamless service execution

Additional Responsibilities

· Support the General Manager and Director of Operations in leading the restaurant team· Provide direction for day-to-day operations and service standards

· Participate in inventory management and cost control initiatives

· Contribute to financial reviews, including labor and operational performance

· Uphold and reinforce Julius’ Castle’s hospitality ethos and brand standards

· Lead daily pre-service meetings (lineups) and communicate key information to staff

· Train team members on service techniques, menu knowledge, and guest engagement

· Ensure proper execution of special requests, dietary restrictions, and celebrations

· Oversee opening and closing managerial duties

· Maintain property standards and coordinate maintenance as needed

Qualifications

· Minimum of 1–2 years of management experience in a high-volume

· Minimum of 2 years of Fine Dining service

· Strong background in hospitality, service standards, and guest relations

· Proven experience with restaurant financials, including labor cost and P&L understanding

· Knowledge of reservations systems, private dining operations, and service flow management

· Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members

· Strong knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and fine dining service etiquette

· Excellent communication skills with a calm, professional demeanor under pressure

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
