High-visibility seat reporting directly to the CEO. Owning all day-to-day accounting and finance functions while facilitating the forward-looking analysis and follow-through that drive effective decisions. Lead Resposibilities: Own hands-on, day-to-day accounting — journal entries, reconciliations, cash management, and full month-, quarter-, and year-end close Deliver the monthly financial package and sales reporting to leadership and ownership Drive FP&A: margin analysis by customer, budget vs. actual, and cost analysis that shapes real decisions Build and own the annual budget and report performance against plan Mine and analyze data from the MRP/ERP system (AS/400) and turn it into working insight in Excel Lead a small team across accounting, HR, and purchasing Partner with outside accountants on the annual review and tax engagement Support up-line reporting and analytics to the ownership group Manage insurance renewals and outside IT as the key point of contact Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years supervising others Strong GAAP knowledge across the full close cycle Manufacturing and cost accounting experience (a strong plant controller ready to run a whole business is an ideal fit) A blend of accounting rigor and FP&A drive — you analyze, not just report Experience reporting up to a board or parent company (a plus) Curiosity about using AI and modern tools to get more from existing systems High-energy, organized, disciplined, and accountable, with genuine follow-through #J-18808-Ljbffr
