Your overall contributions will directly impact our working environment by helping to minimize production downtime and ensure the reliability and good state of repair for all facility systems and production equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Comply with Westlake Royal Safety Policies and ProceduresProvide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety cultureAbility to solve practical mechanical/process problems and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to understand and follow verbal, written, or diagram instructionsCommunicate with shift supervisors, and other line support regarding maintenance issuesEnsure proper performance of all plant maintenance processes/systems and production equipment through effective use of planning, troubleshooting and/or diagnostics skillsEnsure proper preventative maintenance on all plant systems and production equipment to maximize machine uptimeEnsure compliance with all maintenance processes and work being performedAssist in determining necessary actions to address quality issues on molds, stones, and production equipment, as necessaryHousekeeping standardsConduct huddle meeting with maintenance techsAssign work orders to each maintenance technicianCommunicate with shift supervisors and all operational support personnel regarding maintenance issuesEnsure compliance with all maintenance work being performedKeep maintenance leadership informed of maintenance issuesGenerates work orders and closes them out in SAPFollows up and reports craftsmanship to maintenance supervisorProvide peer coaching discussions to correct issuesPerform at an acceptable level as required to meet or exceed daily safety, quality and productivity standardsMechanical/electrical troubleshootingBlueprint/Diagram readingPerform other related duties incidental to the work described hereinKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWork well with conflicting priorities and deadlinesStrong organizational skillsStrategic thinkerStrong work ethicAdapt easily to changing conditions, requirements, and environmentSelf-directed, independent workerTactful, diplomatic, empathetic - Says the right thing, knows how to bridge gaps of understanding, and is sensitive to othersAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and blueprints, procedure manualsAbility to communicate effectively through oral and written communicationsAbility to analyze and solve problemsAbility to work with others collaborativelyStrong organizational skills and basic math skillsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEThe employee should have the following:High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant fieldPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe employee should possess the ability to:Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortableWithstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or outProlong standing or in stationary positionComplete repetitive movementsBend and/or twistLift/move/transport items up to 50 poundsAbility to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditionsMust tolerate an environment with inside ambient temperatures.Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection, safety shoes etc.)This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.
