Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance MechanicWe, at LPFP - Salisbury, a Leggett & Platt company, are searching for a Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic will help successfully implement designs and build parts/machines to improve current processes in the production of carpet cushion, as well as perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in completing projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet cushion. So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Mechanic?Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directionsRead blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then build to those specificationsUse various machines and hand tools and power tools to accomplish assigned tasksMaintain equipment and perform basic repairs when neededPeriodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisorPerforms other related duties as assignedTo be successful in this role, you'll need to have the following:Have at least 2 years Industrial/Manufacturing experienceAbility to read and understand blueprints and schematicsBasic ability in mathematics, reading, or writingAbility to work independently or as a team to complete tasksAbility to maintain a safe work environmentAbility to use various hand toolsAvailable to work on some Saturday'sReasons You'll Love It Here Our benefits include medical (tele-visits included), dental, and vision insurance; as well as paid vacation and paid personal time.
