Wholesale Lending Control Manager - Vice President

You’ll collaborate with diverse colleagues across business, operations, technology, and risk, making a meaningful impact on our global lending services.As a Control Manager Vice President in Wholesale Lending Services (WLS), you support a global team dedicated to delivering a robust control environment. You will be part of the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Business Operations Executive team, reporting to the WLS Control Manager Executive. In this role, you drive regulatory oversight, risk assessments, issue management, and ongoing evaluation of key processes and controls. You’ll work closely with partners across operations, technology, product, finance, credit risk, legal, compliance, and operational risk management to ensure WLS maintains best-in-class standards.Job ResponsibilitiesFoster a proactive risk and control culture by identifying process gaps and challenging the status quoSupport business partners in analyzing key processes and heightened risksConduct robust risk assessments to identify risks and key internal controlsManage control-related activities including Control & Operational Risk Evaluations (CORE), risk events, issues, action plans, and testingProvide leadership for end-to-end execution of CORE, including control breaks and resolutionsEnsure business engagement in control-related activitiesReview and analyze program-related data to support business strategiesEngage with control colleagues across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology functionsAdvise business partners and functional groups on operational risk, emerging trends, risk events, and governanceDevelop and implement action plans to ensure sustainability of controls and issue management successLead change management initiatives to drive systemic improvementsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills5+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or complianceAdvanced knowledge of control and risk management concepts, including designing and evaluating COREProficient in PowerPoint/Pitch Pro for executive presentationsExperience managing people in business operations or risk/control rolesStrong business knowledge and understanding of regulations and inherent risk profilesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skillsAbility to work autonomously, adapt to shifting priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsExperience in leadership roles within business operations or risk/control functionsTechnical acumen to drive meaningful, systemic changeProcess analysis and design expertise to inform control designAbility to synthesize large amounts of data and train others to actionable resultsExperience in root cause analysis and corrective action identificationChange management leadership and ability to influence stakeholders**To be eligible for this role, you must be authorized to work in the United States.
