Client Tax Manager - Vice President

As a Tax Compliance Vice President within the Workplace Solutions team, you will play a central leadership role in running the day-to-day tax compliance function, leading a team of tax professionals, and partnering closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence with Internal Revenue Service regulations, intergovernmental agreement obligations, and country-specific reporting requirements, while driving process transformation and operational efficiency across the function. You will work closely with senior management to escalate key decisions and ensure alignment with broader business and compliance objectives.Job responsibilitiesServe as a key subject matter expert on FATCA, CRS, Canadian, Chapter 3, and Chapter 61 withholding and reporting obligations as they apply to the Workplace Solutions businessDemonstrate strong end-to-end knowledge of the tax reporting lifecycle and operational process, including data sourcing, validation, controls, issue management, and filing deliverables (e.g., 1042-S/1042, 1099 series, FATCA/CRS reporting)Partner with the business to ensure reporting processes are executed accurately and on timeAdvise on documentation requirements, withholding determinations, and reporting obligationsLead and develop a high-performing tax compliance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellenceSet clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching and mentorship, and support career development for team members at all levelsSupport team capacity and prioritization across competing deliverables, escalating to senior management as appropriateSupport the identification, design, and implementation of process transformation initiatives across tax compliance workflows, with a focus on scalability, risk reduction, and efficiencyPartner with technology and operations teams to drive automation of manual processes, leveraging tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and other workflow solutionsMaintain and enhance policies, procedures, and controls for continuous information reporting and withholding compliance across client onboarding, account opening, and servicing workflowsTrack key performance indicators for the team, using data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and report progress to senior leadershipRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field5+ years of tax experience, with a strong focus on US information reporting, withholding, FATCA, and CRSStrong technical knowledge of IRS requirements under Chapters 3, 4, and 61, with a particular focus on the year end reporting requirementsExperience leading or managing a team, with a track record of developing talent and contributing to team performanceDemonstrated ability to contribute to process improvement or transformation initiatives, with measurable outcomesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear guidance for non-technical audiencesStrong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilitiesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsPrior experience in financial services, asset management, or an equity compensation environmentFamiliarity with automation and data analytics tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau, and othersWork scheduleFull time in officeThis position does not support any Visa sponsorship now or in the future JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
