Regional VP, Northwell Cardiovascular Institute & Chief of Cardiology, Danbury and New Milford Hospitals Northwell Health is seeking an exceptional physician executive: Regional VP, Cardiology for the Northwell Cardiovascular Institute and Chief of Cardiology for Danbury Hospital and New Milford. Qualifications Board‑certified cardiologist (any sub‑specialty). 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience. Exceptional interpersonal and strategic planning skills. Ability to inspire and lead diverse teams, foster continuous improvement, and integrate local initiatives with broader regional strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Regional VP, Cardiology, Northwell Cardiovascular Institute Drive standardization of best practices, clinical protocols, and quality metrics. Identify and implement innovative care delivery models and technologies. Facilitate collaboration and integration across the region and system. Participate in system‑wide strategic planning for the Cardiovascular Institute, contributing to its overall mission and growth. Serve as a key liaison between site‑based cardiology and the broader Northwell Cardiovascular Institute. Chief of Cardiology (Danbury Hospital & New Milford Hospital) Oversee clinical cardiology services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, quality, and safety. Recruitment, mentorship, and professional development of a high‑performing team of cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and other team members. Strategic planning for program growth, technology adoption, and service expansion. Foster a collaborative and collegial environment within the department and across other medical specialties. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Support the academic mission, including training, research, and innovation. Clinical Role Approximately 50% effort towards clinical cardiology, commensurate with training and expertise. Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package.
