Job Description

• Combines preconstruction estimating and active project management for sitework and underground utility scopes.
• Prepares detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for excavation, grading, stormwater, water, sewer, and earthwork packages.
• Reviews plans and specs to identify risks, cost drivers, and value engineering opportunities.
• Manages projects from bid award through closeout, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule alignment.
• Coordinates closely with field superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to execute work efficiently.
• Oversees procurement, subcontract negotiations, and material buyouts.
• Tracks project costs, forecasts budgets, and manages change orders to maintain profitability.
• Develops and maintains schedules, ensuring sitework and utility installations meet critical path milestones.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and local utility requirements.
• Serves as the key liaison between clients, engineers, and field teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges.

• Has a proven track record of accurately bidding excavation, grading, and utility projects while maintaining profitability.
• Thoroughly understands plans, specifications, and civil drawings, with the ability to identify risks and gaps early.
• Possesses hands-on field knowledge of site development, including sequencing, production rates, and constructability.
• Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously, balancing office responsibilities with field coordination.
• Strong communicator who can collaborate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Skilled in cost tracking, forecasting, and managing change orders to protect margins.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient with estimating software, scheduling tools, and project management systems.
