You'll spend most of your time working autonomously in the field while also serving as a technical resource for less-experienced technicians.A company vehicle, mobile phone, and company-provided clothing are provided to ensure you have what you need to do the job.What You'll DoIndependently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.Perform advanced troubleshooting on refrigeration systems, economizers, VAV boxes, pneumatic controls, VRF systems, and related equipment.Complete advanced preventative maintenance and in-depth equipment inspections.Optimize HVAC system performance and energy efficiency.Oversee larger commercial HVAC installation and retrofit projects.Serve as a subject-matter expert on complex equipment installations and start-ups.Diagnose mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, and controls-related problems.Design and implement HVAC solutions based on customer needs.Provide technical support on difficult and complex service issues.Train, mentor, and support apprentices and less-experienced technicians.Complete service documentation accurately and on time.Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and excellent service.Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.What We're Looking For6+ years of experience working with commercial HVAC systems.Valid CFC / EPA 608 refrigeration certification.Expert knowledge of commercial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.Strong independent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.Knowledge of VRF systems and building automation systems (BAS).Experience managing large-scale HVAC projects.Knowledge of advanced refrigerant management and environmental considerations.Understanding of HVAC system design, load calculations, and energy modeling.Familiarity with emerging HVAC technologies and industry trends.Ability to safely and legally operate a company vehicle.Ability to work after hours when needed.Strong customer service, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn additional software.What LONG Offers$46–$55/hour + potential profit sharingIn addition to competitive hourly compensation, eligible employees have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchingPotential profit sharingPaid time off8 paid holidaysPaid Community Service DayCompany-paid basic life insuranceCompany-paid short-term and long-term disabilityHSA and FSA optionsEmployee Assistance ProgramTuition reimbursementVoluntary life, accident, and critical care coveragePet insuranceLegal and identity-theft protectionEligible full-time employees generally become eligible for health and welfare benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
