Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care UnitLocation: Reno, NVAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule: 3x12, NightsJob Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) plays a vital role in providing optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the nursing process. The incumbent is responsible for individualized patient outcomes across an entire episode of care, ensuring comprehensive services are delivered to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.Responsibilities:Assessing and diagnosing patient conditions, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with moderately complex health issues.Providing care for patients experiencing severe medical issues, including post-ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions.Administering medications and treatments as per protocols, including vasopressors, titratable drips, and procedural sedation.Monitoring patients with art lines, neuro-stepdown needs, and trach management.Conducting ECG/Telemetry assessments, ensuring the ability to read and interpret rhythm strips.Coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as necessary, maintaining effective communication with internal and external contacts.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Minimum of 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required; Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred.NV RN license required prior to start.Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
