General Manager — New Restaurant Opening

The Group is an acclaimed, multi-concept hospitality company known for elevated dining experiences across New York, Washington DC, and Chicago. As we prepare to open the doors to a brand-new restaurant, we are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the launch and build a team defined by genuine warmth, precision, and an uncompromising commitment to service.

What You'll Do

• Lead all aspects of the opening, partnering with leadership on staffing, training, and operational readiness
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain a high-performing front- and back-of-house team
• Establish and uphold exceptional service standards, personally modeling hospitality in every guest interaction
• Drive sales and profitability by managing budgets, labor, cost of goods, and day-to-day financial performance
• Oversee scheduling, payroll review, cash handling, and loss-prevention procedures
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and DOH standards at all times
• Maintain outstanding ratings and guest sentiment across all review and reservation platforms
• Build morale and a positive, collaborative environment where the team is motivated to exceed expectations

What We're Looking For

• A hospitality leader with genuinely high service standards and a guest-first mindset
• 2+ years of management experience at a similar-caliber concept; 5+ years in restaurants or hospitality
• Proven success leading teams, ideally including a restaurant opening or major operational launch
• Strong command of restaurant financials: budgets, labor, COGS, and reporting
• Polished personal presentation and excellent written and verbal communication
• Comfortable with POS systems and standard business software
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays per the needs of the business
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift 30+ pounds for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certificate
• TIPS Certification
