2027 Future Talent Program - Discovery Immunology - Co-op (San Diego, CA)

A 4-6 month co-op position in immunology research within the R&D division, based in San Diego. Co-op students will conduct wet lab research on novel immunological targets, learning and applying techniques such as cell culture, CRISPR editing, assay development, and flow cytometry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cell culture work with primary human cells and mammalian cell lines
• Execute biochemical assays, ELISA, and cytokine-based assays under supervision
• Perform CRISPR editing, RNA isolation, quantitative PCR, and microscopy
• Apply flow cytometry and FACS techniques to support research projects
• Develop professional networks within a multi-functional research environment

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate student in biological sciences or related field
• Available for full-time, on-site work in San Diego, CA from January through June 2027
• Basic knowledge of cell biology, immunology, or molecular biology preferred
• Prior experience with mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, or immunoassays preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in teams
• 3.2 GPA or higher preferred
• Proficiency with PC, Windows-based systems, spreadsheets, and databases

Compensation: $39,108–$111,111
