Required Application Materials Resume (required) Cover letter (preferred) Contact information for three professional references Job Summary The Field Coordinator provides professional administration and managerial support in the coordination of program development, implementation, evaluation, and outreach for the social work practicum component of the Bachelor and Master of Social Work programs. This role includes curriculum development, instruction, outreach, and service for assigned practicum phases. Core Responsibilities Recruit, develop, monitor, and evaluate field instructors and practicum sites. Respond to inquiries regarding field education from students, liaisons, faculty, administration, field instructors, and community. Develop, maintain, and recruit resources for social work field education practicum sites. Coordinate the process of matching students to agencies, providing ongoing negotiation and problem resolution as needed. Participate in determining student readiness for field education entry. Help create and implement orientation and training for students, field instructors, liaisons, and faculty. Assist in developing and implementing field instruction policies, procedures, and systems. Develop and maintain records and a relational database for all field education activities. Participate in developing and implementing field education accreditation standards and departmental policies, including the Department Student Handbook and Field Manual. Serve on committees as assigned. Act as the field liaison or supervisor as needed. Teach at least two courses per semester at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, as program needs dictate. Implement field education curriculum. Coordinate and facilitate field education orientation experiences for students and field instructors. Support field liaisons. Maintain visibility in the local social service community through board memberships, student engagement, and relationships with field instructors. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE‑accredited program. Social work licensure in Texas or eligibility for licensure in Texas. Two years of related work experience. Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of the human service delivery system within the San Antonio community/region. Strong organization, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Teaching experience. Ability to provide educational supervision and field instruction to practicum students. Exceptional interpersonal, problem‑solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, internet, and relational databases. Knowledge of academic and social work practice environments.
