Compensation: $50–$200/hour (based on Analyst Rating Score, credentials, and approvals)

Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join the platform as Private Equity Analysts .

This is not a traditional employment role . Private Equity Analysts operate as independent contractors , activated through Initio Sphere’s certification, verification, and approval framework.

Once approved, Private Equity Analysts:

• Are promoted within the Initio Sphere ecosystem

• Gain access to live private equity deal flow and paid analytical engagements

• Support fund managers, independent sponsors, and operators on active acquisitions and exits

• Build a verified transaction track record and proprietary Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers include:
Analyst / Associate Analyst · Lead Analyst · Senior Analyst

Analyst Levels & Pay Ranges Senior Private Equity Analyst

• Rating Score: 90–100

• Pay: $150–$200/hour

• Typical Background: Former investment banking, private equity, growth equity, leveraged finance, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of buy-side or transaction experience

Lead Private Equity Analyst

• Rating Score: 80–89

• Pay: $100–$150/hour

• Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of private equity, transaction execution, or advanced financial modeling experience

Private Equity Analyst / Associate Analyst

• Rating Score: 60–79

• Pay: $50–$100/hour

• Typical Background: Entry- to mid-level analysts with strong technical, analytical, and deal execution skills

Core Responsibilities (Approval-Based)

Private Equity Analysts are engaged based on category-specific approvals , earned through assessment and demonstrated performance. Approved responsibilities may include:

Private Equity Transaction Support

• Acquisition and exit analysis for control and minority investments

• Capital structure and leverage analysis

• Support for investment committee and partner review materials

• Coordination of diligence workstreams across advisors

Financial Modeling & Valuation

• Three-statement operating models

• LBO and transaction models

• Returns analysis (IRR, MOIC, cash-on-cash)

• Sensitivity, scenario, and downside case analysis

• Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis

• Football-field valuation summaries

Due Diligence & Portfolio Support

• Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis support

• Commercial, operational, and financial diligence

• Risk identification and investment thesis validation

• Portfolio company performance analysis and KPI tracking

• Investment memorandum and IC presentation support

Analysts may only perform work within categories they are formally approved for. Approvals are merit- and performance-based, not tenure-based.

How Private Equity Analysts Begin Earning

1. Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved Initio Sphere training

2. Receive category-specific approvals (Private Equity, Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence)

3. Complete verification and onboarding

4. Begin earning immediately through hourly engagements and live buy-side deal work

No cold outreach. No unpaid trial work.
Verified analysts are actively promoted to funds, independent sponsors, and deal principals.

Certification & Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

• Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

• Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training

• Active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each Private Equity Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score , which determines:

• Platform visibility and promotion priority

• Approved private equity and analytical work categories

• Recommended hourly compensation range

Compensation & Deal Economics

• Analysts operate as independent contractors , not employees

• Hourly rates are determined by Rating Score and approval tier

• Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

• Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

• Payments are issued only after successful transaction completion and fee collection

• Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality, performance, or compliance issues

Compliance Notice

Private Equity Analysts do not :

• Provide investment advice

• Solicit securities

• Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated or broker-dealer capacity

All work is limited to analytical, diligence, and transaction support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws and regulations.
