Traffic Control Manager (PE Required)

The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a $4.6B infrastructure initiative led by Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA that will add 16 miles of express lanes in Atlanta, improving mobility along a key corridor. The project includes BRT stations, bridge upgrades, and a workforce of 500+, with construction starting in 2025 and completion expected in 2031. The Role We are seeking an experienced Traffic Control Manager to lead all Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) operations. This is a critical, client-driven position responsible for ensuring public safety, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted traffic flow throughout all construction phases. Develop and oversee Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) in line with GDOT and MUTCD standards Coordinate with GDOT, law enforcement, subcontractors, and utilities Manage lane closures, detours, and staging strategies Supervise field implementation (signage, barricades, flagging operations) Conduct inspections and ensure full compliance with approved plans Anticipate risks and proactively mitigate traffic disruptions Maintain logs, reports, and traffic control documentation Train teams on safety and compliance protocols Required Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license (required) Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field 7–10+ years managing traffic control on large-scale highway/DOT projects Strong knowledge of MUTCD, GDOT standards, and permitting processes ATSSA TCS certification (GDOT preferred) Proficiency with tools like Primavera P6, traffic simulation software, and MS Office Valid driver’s license Be part of a high-impact project shaping the future of mobility in Georgia while working alongside industry leaders in complex infrastructure delivery.
