Pediatric Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at Navicent, Macon GA. Position offers a magnificent work life balance to be able to enjoy all the beauty that Macon has to offer. Our practice offers a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center. This Macon, GA-based facility is recognized for excellence on a national level and is among the premier teaching hospitals in the United States. As the second-largest hospital in Georgia, it has 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics. The facility has a Level I Trauma Center; a children's hospital built in 2019; 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites; and a stand-alone outpatient facility. The practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) who all work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping to deliver care excellence.

Case Assignments & Schedule Schedule: 4:1 ratio Monday thru Friday 0700 until the cases are done (usually between 1500-1700 but could run longer) Call from when the cases are done until 0700 next day Monday thru Friday 24 hour beeper call on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Schedule is flexible and will be determined with other providers but no more than three weeks a month General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery.

Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician
