E-commerce Assistant

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of a growing online retailer for an entry-level E-commerce Assistant to join a remote team. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to build experience in digital commerce, online storefront management, order processing, and e-commerce operations. The successful candidate will support daily online retail activities by maintaining product listings, tracking orders, assisting customers, and helping with digital merchandising tasks. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple online tools in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Update and maintain product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing information across the online store. Monitor inventory levels and report stock issues or discrepancies. Process customer orders and track shipments through fulfillment systems. Respond to customer inquiries through email and chat in a timely and professional manner. Support promotional campaigns, seasonal sales activities, and website updates. Maintain order and return records using spreadsheets and internal systems. Coordinate with warehouse and fulfillment partners regarding order status. Monitor website functionality and report technical issues when identified. Assist the e-commerce team with reporting, data entry, and operational tasks. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Strong written communication skills for customer interactions. Ability to work with spreadsheets, data entry tools, and online systems. Strong knowledge of: E-commerce platforms and online retail operations. Product listing management and digital merchandising. Order processing, inventory tracking, and customer support. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace. Previous retail, customer service, or administrative experience is an advantage.
