RESPONSIBILITIES: Determinesprescriptionassignment fordosage , drugchoice , administration,and possible reactions / interactions Supervisestechnicians inprescriptiondataentry,packingandcompounding medications, label and card preparation and assists when necessary. Verifiesfinishedworkofallemployees whoarenot pharmacists. Directstimelydeliveryofmedicationsandsuppliestothe facilities. Answersdrugrelatedquestionsandconcernsandassistswithproblemsolvingfor personnel , nursing staff , and patient families in area of expertise. MayassistPharmacyDirectorwithspecial projectsasneededandassumes responsibility in his/her absence. Rotateson-calldutyduringoff hours. Compoundsprescriptionsas needed. Assistsbusine s sofficewithbillingproblems . Mayconsult nursingfacilitiesaccordingtostateandfederal regulations when necessary. REQUIREMENTS: Sitting,Standing, fine motorskills,visual acuity.Ableto lift up to 30 pounds .
